As the financial crisis deepens for swimming pools and for swimming clubs by extension thanks to the energy crisis, RDASC is launching a drive to attract sponsors for its annual April Fools Gala, which will take place 4-5 March 2023 at John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds.
As a result of steep increases to pool hire in particular, RDASC is having to think differently about how they fund the club to ensure they can continue providing the best for the best for their members.
This year alone, pool hire and other increases are set to eat into the club's reserves significantly. As a fiscally prudent club with a strong foundation, the club's Board have every confidence that they can weather this storm. However, they also acknowledge the need to be responsible and look for ways of generating additional income.
To this end, they are working hard to generate extra funds by opening up new sources of fundraised income. They are also looking at how they can generate more from their galas, which is one of the club's most important revenue streams.
Sponsorship Opportunities for the RDASC April Fools Gala
As such, the club has developed some opportunities for businesses and individuals to sponsor their forthcoming April Fools’ Gala. The pool hire fees for this gala alone have increased by 40%, leaving the club with a gap to fill.
The club have produced this promotional sponsorship pack which provides information about the various packages available. They are asking members and friends of the club to spread the word and help them reach more potential sponsors.
